EV1 allows you to safely recharge your electric car wherever an industrial EEC-type socket (or other format - e.g. domestic socket - is available via a suitable adapter). EV1 is one of the most widely used solutions in Italy and throughout Europe for recharging Type 2 electric cars (e.g. it is the most widely used system for recharging Renault Zoe).
The portable electric car charging station is fully compliant with Mode 2 of the International Standard IEC 61851-1. This means that charging takes place in complete safety, both for the batteries and for the people using the charging station. This makes it the ideal solution as a home charging station for electric cars, for use in the garage at home or for charging an electric fleet in the company car park.
This portable electric vehicle charging device connects to any single-phase 32A industrial power socket and has a fixed cable with a Type 2 connector that plugs directly into the car, so no additional charging cables are needed.
One of the most important features of this portable electric car charging station is the fact that the charging current is adjustable: 6A, 8A, 10A, 13A, 16A, 20A, 24A, 28A, 32A. This minimises the risk of overcharging and increases battery life. In addition, those with limited available power at the meter can easily select a lower current to limit power consumption.
The table below shows the power consumption (kW) for each selectable current level (A):
The portable station integrates a differential protection device (lifesaver), a PWM communication module with the vehicle (as in public charging stations), an internal temperature sensor that interrupts charging if the internal temperature reaches the safety limit, and a self-test function that verifies the correct functioning of the protections each time the station is switched on.
The portable charging station for electric cars is convenient to use in the place where you charge your car every day, but is the ideal solution for charging in places other than your home (e.g. relatives' or friends' homes, holiday homes, workplace, etc.):
EV1 ensures maximum safety for the electrical system and people (compared to a common Schuko, the industrial connector is designed and constructed to be robust and suitable for high power for many hours);
EV1 can be easily transported in the boot and is a true portable charging station for electric cars.
EV1 - max 7.4 kW - Type 2 replaces previous products no longer in production:
EVR1 - max 3.7 kW - Type 2 cod. ES-22CE16xx/7D
EVR1 - max 7.4 kW - Type 2 cod. ES-22CE32xx/7D
EV1retains all the most important features of EVR1, adding new safety protections required by recent international and Italian regulations and adding new functionalities (e.g. display, energy measurement and programmable delayed start).
