Cable for charging electric cars according to Mode 3 of the International Standard IEC 61851-1; this cable is used to connect a Type 1 electric car to a Type 2 charging station.
The cable is equipped at one end with a Type 1 female connector (SAE J1772-2009 - Yazaki) to be plugged into the vehicle's charging connector.
At the other end is the male connector Type 2 (VDE-AR-E 2623-2-2 Mennekes) to be plugged into the charging station socket.
The maximum power of this charging cable for electric cars is 7.4 kW single-phase (32A 230V).
The coiled cable is also convenient to store as it takes up little space. Nevertheless, it has a length (maximum extension) of 4 metres.
